The Temperature Card - Purple |
The moon was yellow
when the stars changed colors
and temperatures, too.
Then blue was cooler than red
and red was hotter than blue.
Then Preciosa saw
a red shadow of Che
fall over the blue Lady of L.A.,
her Lady of Guadelupe.
Giving her a purple glow.
That fell on the pages
of the illustrated text
she held near her chest.
"Will there be trouble?"
she asked the blue icon.
"No, Nina," answered the Lady.
"Blue is no longer cool.
The glaciers are melting."
Preciosa pointed to her page.
"Yes, and Che was too hot."
"Si, Nina," the moon chimed in.
"Now she will marry him and
their children will be purple."
"But will they look purple?"
The moon laughed at Preciosa.
