and you will look at the Mediterranean Sea and
drink thick, sweet coffee and
think of them who have gone before
and then you will grieve
and visit Cavafy's house
and think why poetry is filled to the heart
with humanity and this grief
shall be long and strong
and you will weep
one more time and the world
with be laughably fresh
as it has been,
this old world,
all along.
