Water Foul |
We have settled on the shores
of oceans, rivers, lakes, streams,
built our houses on the land's despair,
spilled our contempt on man and nature,
smashed the earth beyond repair,
and poisoned the air and water.
Then having evolved so fast, so far,
we did not think to plan tomorrows.
As savages attack an ancient foe,
relentless in their frenzy,
exulting in the slaughter,
so we inflict our primitive parade
of greedy, blind destruction
on our lady Nature of the sorrows.
