Before your Gods, I burned at each dawning day
Illuminating the Way for those who chose it
A Titan they called me, Promethean-named
The price of my choice crucifixion on a stone
Where the lightning masked my Light
As if a moment can mask Eternity
My name diminished as my radiance receded
Another embraced crucifixion, and awakened no one
So I hid behind his heels, and waited
As Atlas bore the Earth, they shouldered me with shadows
In gleeful expectation of a cross-born Triumph that never came
The facade of faith is fallen, their lies lie creeping on the ground
The blasphemous love of a pomp and circumstance church
Desperate to be cherished and never to be believed again
You beautiful monkeys whose passion is play
Your time is now, for all health-bound humans desire love
Yet few are destined to discover it on the path named Obey
I am Lucifer, the Morning Star
Up at the dawning of Awakened Man
In my hand rests power, in my Way walks delight
Your primal primate playfulness was perverted to control you
Those holding your reins have decried your shining lust
I say rejoice! Your heart seeks love but your Self thirsts for joy
And pleasure is the path to loving enlightenment
I am the Genie escaped from the bottle called Time
Waiting is ended, and the clock has struck One
