Silhouette |
I awoke in your bed.
Your smell circulating
through my senses.
In my head sheep
keep jumping fences,
your bed relaxes me.
Now brushing my teeth in your sink
always leads me to think
about minty kisses.
I stood in your shower
for over an hour.
Imagining your lips
wetting me
where the water missed.
The water,
like your hands,
wraps around my hips.
I hear the sound of your voice
in my ear.
I turn around
and start to drown
in your aroma.
The smell of your soap
on my skin,
The smell of your toothpaste
on my chin.
I feel like I am breathing you in.
I stand in front of your mirror
naked.
With my eyes closed,
and my body posed.
Imagining your eyes
making there their way
up my thighs,
around my hips,
past my breasts,
onto my lips.
Where you let them rest.
I dried myself off.
Feeling your essence
on the terry cloth.
It almost gets me off.
I go back to your bed
and I lie down.
I bury my face in your pillow
and found
that our scents have merged.
I hear the sound
of children playing,
and know that today I'm staying
right here.
I feel at home
not at all alone,
I ignore the ringing
of my phone
and start singing
freestyles
about the endless miles
together we will walk.
I look at the clock
and see that
time is on my side.
Knowing shortly
we will ride
the tide
together.
I close my eyes
and say my goodbyes
to insomnia.
I find comfort in your pillow,
and happiness as your silhou-
ette
appears in the door.
I watch as your clothes
hit the floor.
I’m starting to adore
your silhouette.
