Sucked Into Society |
She looked so illusive,
exactly like a doll
you would buy at a store.
Everywhere I turned,
they talked about
how she's "goals",
or how they wished
they looked like her.
At first, I was against
having an idolized image
I know I'll never become,
but as time passed,
more and more people
looked like her. A constant hissing
in my brain kept telling me
to give in, to be something
I was most definitely not.
As the hissing grew louder
I grew weaker, until, finally,
I was sucked into society.
