So much is made
of the difference between
the sun
when it burns a hole
in history
and so little of its eclipse
when its shimmer disappears
behind the moon
as if it never was.
So much is made
of its golden glow
on Achilles's shield
and so little of the moon
when it cast it shadow
on the walls of Troy.
The sun always the sun
prevails
and always the moon
denied.
