Getting Along |
These gulls are talking I know they are,
eight or ten rapid-fire high-pitched
caws, then a flick of
their heads toward the open sky
or an open-mouthed screeching
at other kinds of birds as if
saying, “Get out of my way!”
I wonder what they’re saying,
but it’s probably basic
relationship talk that all of
us humans could learn to do
much better than we do.
