In Those Good Old Days |
I remember the time I wanted to take Patti out
parking, to go necking in the car, but didn’t
know where to do that, went down Summerhill Road
and Tice's Lane and down Merrill Avenue and Rue’s
Lane, finally stopping on Nathan Road in Old
Bridge, parked there and tried to kiss her, but
neither of us felt comfortable in that strange
dark narrow place so I drove away again feeling
like gypsies or wandering minstrals. It’s hard
to find a place to be alone when you’re still
teenagers. At least it was back in those days,
back in those good old days.
