Soldiers
Guns firing,
Men falling,
Shots fired,
Bombs falling,
Mines setting off,
Soldiers running far and wide,
Calling out names of their buddies,
That have fallen,
Enemy soldiers shooting,
At passing tanks,
Heading into endless danger,
Not knowing what they’ll face,
Helicopters carrying wounded soldiers,
Back to base,
Soldiers standing proudly,
Tears sliding down their face,
As they salute another soldier,
That has fallen.
