The Horse, the Mountain, the Sky |
You look around you and then look at the sky
A feeling inside starts to speak out loud
Of other paths you could have chosen
And the way you’ve been feeling lately
Like you’ve been torn away from the clouds
The smell of rain runs through the air
But the storm brews from within you
You’ve been riding on a horse all your life
Telling people as you gallop faster than the wind
I’ve no time, I am searching for my horse
On better days than today you realize
Each and everyone of us gallops right there with you
From afar in the horizon up on the hills
We ride down like wild horses so majestically
But today isn’t one of those days
No, today you look around
As we all ride towards the end of the road
And instead of galloping onto the air
And onto the sky
We fall down into the precipice instead
Today the side of mountain is smeared in red
Is covered with life that once had verve
And suddenly you find the side of mountain
A perfect description to your soul
On a day with a sky like today’s
