A victim of society
Society? The set up of my demise
Feeling as if I’m in the depths of solitude,
Not realizing that there are others just like me;
All victims of society.
It’s time for a change.
We as a people are making ourselves victims of society.
Instead, we should be agents of change.
Like our ancestors who had the strength, courage, and hope to overcome their struggles.
That same strength, courage has been passed down to us, to use to overcome our struggles.
But it is up to us to use it.
No one can tell us what the future holds for our people but us.
I will not allow myself to remain a victim of society.
Why? I have empathy for my people. Our ancestors started the changes.
Now it is up to us to finish it.
I have hope for our future.
I see a generation full of success and beaming with glory.
How? I focus on the future instead of the circumstance.
Why? Because if the dream is big enough the facts don’t count.
I will no longer remain a victim of society.
With my empathy, strength, courage, and hope,
I now appoint myself a Major Agent of Change.
