    Dan Hedges currently teaches English in the Sir Wilfred Laurier School Board of Quebec. He has also taught English at Sedbergh School, and the Celtic International School. He has lived in the Yukon, Southern Ontario, Spain, Mexico, and Quebec. Dan runs an artist collective called HUMANIMALZ, which is visible via www.humanimalz.com. His poems have appeared in The Maynard, Ditch Poetry, and Jones Ave Quarterly.

   

 

Sacrosanct

Whilst we strain to theorize,
notions of worth,
or clichés of humanimal values,
and while physics dictates ---
time, rate, and space;
the aesthetic of every moment pierces,
sacrosanct.
