art by paradoxius

Born and raised in Flushing NYC, NY, moved to the tropics in 2003 for personal reasons, a student of life, a child of the universe, a free spirit, wandered to places such as Rome, Pompeii, Naples, Capri, London, and other places where wanderlust has lead me. Family is my all, my past, present and future, along with my writing, and thirst for knowledge of the sacred and unknown, a dreamer and doer, and lover of life, living peacefully in the land of constant summer.

The Wanderer

What is it

I am searching for

Behind painted doors

    and bared windows

What is it
That pushes me on

to travel far and distant lands
To peek through palmed courtyards

To search for desert sands

A stone fountain
    a church steeple

       an old hotel

          ancient people
A faded scarf
    to wrap around me

and take me back to dreams

Or are they memories?

Is it me I'm searching for?

Or the me I once was

       long before
