bio

art by paradoxius

Sabrina Edwards (formerly known as Mephistopholes), is a poet, priestess, cinema theatre manager, and head abystress of the darkest recesses of your long-unrealized imagination. Her poetry and prose have appeared in poeticdiversity: the litzine of Los Angeles, Insanity and Blasphemy, and Heroin Love Songs.

Glory Be

He might fuck you,
but does he worship you?
Stir you
to the depths
of your soul?
And when he lays with you
does he say
how much he loves you,
you believing
it is more
than a lie?

More than just
some empty words -
used as a lubricant,
a way
to ease
into
your secret spaces?

Or even
in between
those spaces,
similar to
some type of oil -
rubbed into
your rusted armor,
which you never needed
for your un-neglected sword?
