Cleveland Haiku

Sign seen:

the temp agency's

permanently unemployed

Sign of spring:

a lone boat

planted in the water

A pedestrian

waves the bus by

as if he were a traffic cop

Sign of spring:

the lights of the ballpark on

even when the team is out of town

Urban forest:

electric transmission towers

taller than the tallest trees
