Summer Fruition

Oh, cyan sky,

black cornsilks,

sweet maize and green stalks

lend me rows in which to hide.

Weighted branches,

honey bees swarm,

overripe windfalls lay.

Peaches, furry skin,

orange meat, red centers.

I relish the sweet nectar

of summer fruition.
