Bryan Sanders started writing poetry at the age of 14. A teacher encouraged him to keep at it, and he has never stopped. He got his start at the World Stage Anansi Writers Workshop. Since then, he has been on KJLH, performed in The African Marketplace, performed at the African Cultural Center, featured at The World Stage, and received an Extended Education Creative Writing Scholarship to UCLA.
As a 20 year old poet, his poetry is the beating heart of the Los Angeles inner city through the eyes of a young man discovering his own identity.
