Ilona Lagowski-Timoszuk was born 1975, in Warsaw, Poland during the height of Communist reign. Her father relocated the family to the USA, opening the first doors to Ilona's creative possibilities - freedom of speech.
Growing up in Boston's inner city, it was through her writing that Ilona bloomed, publishing her first poem at sixteen.
Ilona is currently a graduate student at University of Manchester, UK, where she is completing her Master's in Creative Writing.
Ilona's writing has been featured on the BBC's Rogue Scholar, Words-Myth Literary Magazine, Loch Raven Review, Istanbul Literary Review, Columbia Poetry Review, Lunatic Chameleon, Andwerve, The Write Side Up, and Laura Hird.
